Has anyone had recent experience of negotiating to keep their tracker mortgage for the lifetime of their mortgage rather than the current offer of 5 years? Any advice on how they managed it? I am trading up from apartment to a house but I am not in negative equity.

I think that both Ulster and Bank of Ireland will follow Permanent TSB, KBC and AIB shortly by allowing it for the full term. If you can sit tight for a while I it should happen.
