There was a problem starting dhjw.cpp . The specificed module could not be found.

Ive tried the manual reboot but didnt work and am worried it maybe a virus instead of a programme on the actual laptop

    Anyone no what to do?

Tap F8 on startup. Once a second until you get this menu.

If you can get that menu, you may want to choose "Safe Mode With Networking".

    Then from in there, download
    CCleaner and run it.

    Then
    Malwarebytes Anti-Malware
    Also
    Spybot S&D
And run them separately to scan for malicious software.

    Then Download
Eusing Registry Cleaner and run it to clean up the registry.

is the message just a dialog box you can cancel/close, and can you still use Windows?

It sounds as though a file is trying to run at start-up, did you recently uninstall any C++ software.

It is a known family of Trojan/Virus. Malwarebytes and Spybot should remove it. It's best done in Safe Mode.

Genome dhjw (Backdoor.Win32.Hupigon.dhjw), Win/DHJw (Trojan.Win32.Sasfis.dhjw) and Trojan.Downloader.Win32.Genome.dhjw, and other names..

Sorry. I'm just looking over it.. A bit late now, but for anyone that comes across this thread later.

Run Oldtimers TFC first - It will stop everything from running in background, then run scan. It should kill it and remove it altogether. Although I'm surprised S&D didn't offer to run at startup and kill it anyway.
