I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with these alarms.

I have been looking around for somewhere that sells the Quantum 70 and I found this by accident. It seems like a very reasonably priced bit of kit, so I'm thinking there must be a catch somewhere.

So has anyone ever installed one or even heard of them?

I just had a look at your attachment and i firstly have not seen the words complies with EN50131.

Does that panel even have an l.c.d screen?

It is a bottom feeder system down there with the Yale stuff that is found in DIY stores.

My advice is the Quantum, when you covert the sterling price to Euro they are around the same price but i can vouch for the quality of the Quantum.

Here have a look see http://www.hkcsecurity.com/ie/product/quantum-70-wireless/control-panels/#.U1BVI1d1mCo

I cant find anyone that will sell it to me though. I just cannot afford to get a professional to install it and I am finding it hard to get someone to sell me an alarm system.
The few websites that do sell, they sell so many different attachments and ad ons that I dont know what to get or what I need.

well if its DIY you want then that's the alarm for you but looks cheap and you get what you pay for so my advise is save up for a REAL alarm installed to standard by a professional company that complies to standards after all it is protecting all you own and your family . Wonder how much your laptop or TV is worth
