Emirates or Qantas A380

I'm flying to oz in July with my dad to see my brother and booking it through Emirates. The Dubai to Sydney section gives you the option of either the emirates or qantas a380. The qantas flight is €360 cheaper. I've flown on the emiates a380 a few times at this stage and loved it. However I'm thinking of going qantas because of the savings. Only issue is that this is my dads first ever long haul flight and want to make sure it's comfortable, which I know it will be with emirates. Is the qantas a380 on a par with emirates?

Save the €360. That's a lot of money to spend when you're over there.

Yup. At the end of the day its the time spend over there that will be remembered. Your Dad will recall the A380, not the airline he was on.

Cheers guys. I suppose I was just wondering does anyone know the differnce in the comfort levels between the two airlines?

Not very much, Qantas has been around a long old time, probably one of the oldest if not the oldest airline in the world so they know a thing or two about comfort. I'd highly recommend them anyway, you only get real good comfort on Emirates if you're packing about 2K in your backpocket!

I agree with Jack, both airlines offer a 3-4-3 economy cabin and both airlines A380's are configured for 450 or 484 pax. Comfort level will be pretty much the same on both.

I've flown on the Emirates A380 twice but not Qantas A380. I'd go too with the saving option. I've been told the back of the upper deck on Qantas A380 has plenty of legroom and is comfortable. Getting through in comfort the 13-14 hour leg between DXB and Oz is a must for me. I usually try and book the seats at the last cabin down the back as it is smaller and more intimate.
