Cake stabilizer/emulsifier

    Hi :pac:

    My wife is looking to bake a cake and she needs some stabilizer/emulsifier. English isn't her first language so after using Google translate a few times i narrowed it down to this.

    Any place in Dublin i can find this? For some reason i don't think they will stock it in places like Tesco/Dunne's but to be honest i haven't even looked :o Anyone know where i can get some of this stuff and save my wife the leg work.

    I wonder if she means xanthan gum. I've heard it can be used as a stabiliser in baking, especially in gluten free cakes etc. You can get it in health food shops.
