Quick one. Do you need travel insurance if travelling to the UK?

IMO you need travel insurance everywhere. OK you have medical cover in the EU anyway but what about cancellations, theft/loss/, accidents etc etc etc. Travel insurance policies have gotten so cheap lately that peace of mind just costs a few euro.

I'm with OP, never travel without travel insurance, ya never know when you might need it and its not expensive, A year travel insurance for worldwide travel for a couple with blue insurance is less than E70.... much cheaper if you only want a single travel policy...

How can you be 'with' the OP? He/she is asking a question and has made no statement either in favour of or against having travel insurance.

OP, the answer is that insurance is optional wherever you go, you'll probably be fine in the UK in terms of medical cover with the NHS but travel insurance is advisable for theft, missed connections, lost bags, medical repatriation etc.
