Does anybody here know weather or not you to bring prescription medicines with your carry on luggage on a flight, specifically creams that are above the 100ml liquids limit?

apologies if this has been asked before

I remember reading it somewhere before that you can bring medicines in addition to your normal liquid allowance provided you can prove it - presumably doctors or pharmacist's note or proof of prescription. I imagine that blue docket you get from pharmacies should work.

Thanks Gatica. I thought that this might be the case except I'm flying from Heathrow and when I checked their website it seemed to say that I needed to be able to prove that I needed the medicine on the actual flight.

I think I'm just going to play it safe and just check my bag into the hold

Hi I recently went from Heatrow too and had no probs carring prescription meds and contact lens solution as carry on. They did ask me to put it into a clear bag though - which I did
