Just wondering if anybody has been to India? We are going for 3 weeks at end of June - will be in Dehli and travelling around with tour company - Will be in the Thar desert also
Jst wondering what injections are needed and if anybody could recommend a place in a Galway area where they don't charge too much for these injections.

I checked out a travel GP clinic, my own GP and TMB in Galway. TMB came in far cheaper than the other two.
If you search boards you'll find there are half a dozen threads on this already, if not more. You'll need to make an appointment and prepare your itinerary to review with the doc. They'll recommend what vaccines you'll need and optional ones based on your trip. We were only charged for the initial consultation. After that you just make appointments for the rounds of different vaccines.
If there's more than 1 of you travelling together, they do cheaper pp group rate consultations.
With VHI you can also request the appointment through their online booking system and you'll get 15% discount. We found out only about half way through our rounds :( but at least saved on the last few vaccines.

Hi magicgal, just wondering if you got vaccinations sorted for India? Did you get the Japanese en. One? That's the only one I'm missing and just wondering if I should take a chance!

When I went to India with work, got a load of vaccines but didn't need the the Jap Enc. It may depend on your itinerary and where you go. India is a big place.
It was recommended to us for SE Asia, but not required. We decided to be cautious and got it just in case anyway.
