What are the chances of passing fetac with just your assignments all finished?

I'm intend on doing my exams after easter but I feel I done very well in the assignments so i'm not really worried about the exams or have I the wrong attitude?

My tutor says I have :o:o:o All passes would do me

    Fetac level 5 btw ;);)

It really depends on the weighting the exams have. Some modules the exams have higher weighting than the assignment eg 60%, in that case you'd have to get full marks on your assignments to pass without the exam, which would be tough. If you've put so much work in through the assignments, would you not just keep it up and give it your best shot? You might even get a merit or distinction which is hardly going to hold you back in the future. I wouldn't suggest getting yourself in a state over the exams but you should put in a bit of effort.

as far as I can remember, all my assignments can reach to 50% in all modules so that could be a pass straight away.

i just want a pass. i don't see the sense in killing myself for a merit or distinction lol .

    50% is needed to pass.

Not sure if its for all fetac modules but there are a couple on my course which require you to complete and pass all components. That is even if the assignment was worth 60% and you got full marks, you must also complete and pass the examination part too.

I think you'll pass with 50% wether you do the exams or not.. Sure I have an excel exam and i'll probably be able to do a few bits but most will defo be left blank:(

Just looked up a brief for one of my modules. 2 assignments worth 30% each and an exam worth 40%. Hower to pass "all components MUST be completed". That would suggest you need to at the very least to turn up for the exam bit.

I assumed you needed to complete the entire exam and leave nothing blank.. If you only have to turn up then that's cool :D
