FiiO X5 Launch Event

Hi all,

We finally have our stocks of the new Fiio X5 digital audio player so are hosting a lunch event this Saturday the 19th in our showrooms (Junction 9, M50. Directions here).

We're open 10am-6pm.

Courier permitting, we'll have some high-end Grados to have a listen to along with the X5s and X3s.

We'll also have a launch offer on the X5 of a free Kingston 64GB microSDXC class 10 flash card with every X5 purchased.

It went well, although the Grado RS1, RS2 and PS1000 are only arriving tomorrow thanks to a logistics mistake!

We've decided to continue the free 64GB card offer while stocks last, so anyone is welcome to come in and have a listen to the demo model whenever you like.

We'll get a few of the L16 cables in with the next shipment (pretty soon).

I'll have to check on the new X3 case as only the older one, which wasn't great, is on our lists at the moment. We should have word back pretty quickly.

ETA on the new X1 guys. would make a nice chrismas present for the kids.

We're hoping that they'll land late september/early october but still waiting for confirmation, same with the retail price

After a bit of delay with the Chinese holiday the X1s have arrived, as have the new E10K and E11K.

We're doing the X1s for €99 at the moment - so a good 20-25%+ cheaper than Amazon. This current batch of stock is limited but there will be plenty more before Christmas.

I got it earlier this week from the guys at HifiHut (thanks Daniel ). Size wise, it's about the same as a cigarette box but much thinner. Sound wise, it's not up to it's big brother the X5, but that's to be expected given the price. Fiio have updated the UI from the X5, which is a step in the right direction. I have mine teamed up with the old E11 and find it fantastic. Fits easily into a pocket (vs the X5/E12). Overall for it's price, i'd highly recommend it. If you're looking for a more indepth review, then i'd check out head-fi.

To be fair to the guys at Hifihut, they won't be beaten on their price.

My source is an IPC at the moment so I'm just looking out for potential heirs to the Throne. Really appreciate the input.
