PS3 Stuck on 9.99 Rogero Downgrader

Hi,

Can anyone help me i have a PS3 downgraded from 4.50 Rogero with rogero downgrader. This is now stuck and wont upgrade. When i try to install new CFW it says corrupt file or i have the latest as it thinks my version is 9.99

Also anywhere in Dublin/Kildare that could fix this for me..

Assuming there are no hardware faults. Install OFW (downgrade to 3.55 OFW if necessary) and then reinstall CFW again.

What's QA flagged mean. When I try to install OFW it says the latest firmware is already installed. It thinks I'm on 9.99

Redownload OFW 3.55 as it is possible your download is corrupt, also update the firmware via recovery mode.

Turn ps3 off Hold power button down it should boot up and turn off, hold power button again and you should get 2 beeps and enter recovery mode.

Quality Assurance. Are you using the latest OFW PUP (v4.55) or are you using OFW (v3.55) considering the last successful flash was CFW (v4.50)

I have tried to upgrade with every CFW on tortuga website.
Issue is I'm stuck after using downgrader to 3.55 but the ps3 thinks I'm on 9.99

You'll need to QA flag the machine for any of the installs to work.

You can do this with the rebug toolkit.

I have used the QA pkg and got the 3 beeps them the options in network settings but still says I'm on latest firmware as I'm on 9.99

As I said, use the rebug toolkit in order to do this. Then upgrade via the recovery menu.

Hello i am new to this site and i am also in the same situation as the guy above i have downgraded my CFW to 3.55 but my PS3 thinks its on 9.99 i have downloaded Rebug Toolkit can you guide me in the right direction please and thanks

Just enable the QA flag and then install the 3.55 firmware.

I have went into Rebug tookit and i went over to the option on the far right Toogle QA Flag and i hit enable and i have just tried updating from the PS3 menu after i held down the power button and it still says corrupted because the ps3 thinks its on 9.99 firmware

I recommend to use toggle_qa instead of Rebug Toolbox when you set QA on 3.55 CFW. After you install downgrader PUP the syscon version is 9.99 but firmware has 3.55 features, that's why when you are trying to install system from XMB menu it fails. After you set QA you have to install OFW/CFW 3.55 from Recovery Menu and it will work.

Hey if people get banned for using CFW will updating to OFW and formating the console un ban you? My friend forgot to enable is PSN Patch 2.47 and got banned any info would help he said he would rather be on OFW than be banned.

Unfortunately it doesen't work like that, it would be to easy. The account and the system ID is banned. Now he need new IDPS and create new account. When he get new IDPS (best to buy private one from trusted person) there is an option in PSN Patach to change IDPS but he has to do it every time he like to play online. Also there is a way to change IDPS for good but I never tried because no one was interested maybe because there is a need to resign all saves and trophy with new idps (don't have to do this with tools like PSN patch). If he like to come back on OFW he need to change IDPS permanently but the console will be a ticking time bomb but everything is possible.

Thank you for replying and i am interested because i would like to get my friend un banned and be on OFW so he never gets banned and we can play online together again its been 4 months since he got banned..

After Sony banned you on CFW you can get ban on OFW. Best way is to unban and stay on CFW.
