[Oponeo] tyres

Just looking for some info. on an on line tyre co. called Oponeo, did anyone on here use them. Are they OK to deal with re. delivery etc. Their prices seem reasonable.

I have used camskill recently and found them quick and cheaper.
All depends on the tyres I'm sure.

I found them fine, dealt with them a few times.
Camskill, Eiretyres, Oponeo all good, price them for the tyres you want.

loads of threads on them already if you search. I have bought from them twice. Fast delivery and good prices

Can anyone recommend a place in South Dublin City or County that will accept shipment of tyres from oponeo and will fit them for you (at a reasonable price)? I called a few places and they didn't want to fit tyres that weren't bought from them.

In my experience most place will match up prices if you ask nicely.

There are a few places if you google "dublin tyre fitters"

Walkinstown tyre centre received, fitted, balanced and disposed four tyres for something like €48.

Discount Tyres in Blanch did a good deal on a full set of Uniroyals. Bought online and fitted they wouldn't have been any cheaper.
Might be the case with other brands.

Not sure about getting them sent there. Imagine they wouldn't be bothered with that. Why not get them sent to your house?
Used oponeo good few times and couldn't fault them

Never had any issue getting them fitted in cork either.

Used them recently, no problems. Postage is free but was substantially slower than Camskill have been in the past.

Quite a few Irish based suppliers will match / beat online prices now though - worth giving them a shot. Discount Tyres in Blanch and Pro-Parts in particular.

I think Discount Tyres are keeping a good eye on Oponeo.

Priced 2 X 17's online for my car @ €114ea. plus it would cost me €15 a corner to fit totalling €258.

How much do discount tyres want for the same two tyres fitted and balanced? Yep, you guessed it - €258!

Gave Discount Tyres a call, unfortunately €45 a corner dearer than Openeo for same tyre. Factor in fitment, and that's at least €30 dearer a corner for me. Maybe not so much of a gap on other sizes/brands.

Arrived 4pm today to get my tyres fitted and they only had one left. Had booked in and all but there was some problem.

Anyhow, was offered a pair of Michelin Pilot Sport 3 at a discounted price which I went with and am very happy with. Staff very friendly, service very quick.

Put the tyres to the test on my drive from Dublin to Mountbellew this evening. 1hr 30.
