Looks like there was a crash at 105k to go. Who was involved on that crash?

    Caffeine probably (hopefully).

This looks like a bad TV drama. Who would carry suspicious looking pills, in a medical vial with 'Test' written on it to a bike race?

"12.55 <some rider> was just caught up behind a crash after some unmarked road furniture caused a big spill. The main bunch has been split into pieces with many of the team leaders chasing their way back."

its totally plausible that some spectator looking to troll the race could have thrown it into the middle of the road

It's much more likely that a top athlete in a sport where everyone is on some kind of supplements (and has a huge history of doping) had the vial in their pocket and was taking the pills during a ~6 hour race. It would be interesting to know what the pills are.

Could they not bury the pills into an energy bar like they used to in the 80's and 90's? Amateurs.

Maybe somebody from Worthing-based vetinary practice company Thames Medical dropped them.

It's defo not a Sky rider, as some other forums have hinted, they would never be that amateurish!

I reckon the label didn't say "Test", it said "Intestinal Worming Tablets" but some of the letters were lost in the fall. :)

It's a double bluff. Make it look like one of the French teams, take the heat off themselves.

Anyway it's probably some sort of Tramadol variant.
