Mira shower low flow after cleaning filter

I cleaned the filter in my mira elite 2 shower tonight for the first time since i bought the house (approx 6mths ago). It was really really difficult to get the filter screw (don't know what else you would call it) back in straight amd i ended up having to turn off the water & drain the tank before finally managing to get it in (and even now i'm not 100% convinced it is straight but it wasn't going in any other way). However now i'm getting the low flow light coming on and the shower sounds strange and basically no water is coming out. Any ideas what t could be? Do i just need to let it run a bit to get water back into the shower pipes? Just because of the noise and lack of water (plus the fact that it electric!) i'm nervous. I've cleaned the filter in my shower at the old house quite a few times and itis exactly the same model amd i've never had this problem.

Check the nozzles of the shower head too, while you have it off. They could be clogged with limescale, and restricting the flow rate. But as Robbie.G says, be sure to turn the unit to cold, untill you get a good flow through.

    Check hose
I had a kinked hose on the internal part of it and you couldn't see it
