Hey, I bought an android phone recently and downloaded the tumblr app, however upon downloading I noticed the app requires access to phone contacts. I really don't want any of my phone contacts to find my tumblr using my number, is this a possibility? Is there any way to block the app using my phone number, can't find…

Hey,

I bought an android phone recently and downloaded the tumblr app, however upon downloading I noticed the app requires access to phone contacts.

I really don't want any of my phone contacts to find my tumblr using my number, is this a possibility?

Is there any way to block the app using my phone number, can't find settings for it anywhere?

You could try uninstalling it, adding following app

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gmail.heagoo.apkpermremover

Then reinstalling. Dubious as to whether it will work but worth a try?

I don't think your particular concern is anything to worry about. I don't think the app will access your contacts to actually do anything with, If you're really worried, just set up a fresh tumblr account and see if your phone contacts find it.
