What's out there for beginner/casual XC riders after the excellent Biking Blitz series winds up? The only other XC events I can see on the CI Offroad calendar are the NPS races, which are widely spaced both spatially and temporally. Are there any club leagues or the like in and around Dublin?

    Hi Rab!dmonkey

if ya liked the blitz you will love the nps series, races this year are all in dublin or anhour away, well worth doing. slade valley is a brillant trail and worth doing as is dixon park up in belfast, throw yourself into s4, theres usually about 50 or more in that group so ya wont be alone. after that check out the 12hr mtb race in bellurgan house. if ya have a CI licence you will be able to race in the inter club league, check MAD, IMBRC n epic clubs and you should find out where there being held, you usually need to be invited but if your in an mtb club its no problem, races usually take place in slade valley or ticknock. you could also do the enduro series....

Yes, but you have to be a member of one of the Dublin clubs, EPIC, IMBRC, MAD.
Though most of these clubs have already completed there new member/beginner spins at this stage of the year, but keep watch on the forums of these clubs in case they open up the membership again.
