Kindle App Missing Covers

Have been using the Kindle app on my nexus 7 a lot recently and some of the books I've sideloaded are missing covers on the carousel. Instead there is just the grey generic kindle cover. However, the thumbnails of the covers show up in the book itself and in the all items section. Have googled it and tried editing and reconverting them in Calibre but it hasn't solved the issue. It's not a big deal, I'm just a bit anal about this kind of thing! Has anyone had this issue and managed to solve it?

Drove me bananas before! I have an add on for Calibre that resizes the covers for said books before I send them to the kindle.
Are all of these items downloaded to the kindle ? I found that items in the cloud that were emailed to the cloud would only appear after I downlaoded the book to the kindle app and opened the book. Try that if that doesn't work try upscaling the images in Calibre.

I have just discovered this, and it seems to be a good alternative to e-mailing to your kindle e-mail.

Only used send to kindle once, doesn't it just email them anyway ?

Ya am the same with album covers on the ipod...spent hours getting them right!

Me too, then rockbox got released for it and my woes with winamp/itunes/covers were over.

I don't think it emails the docs, at keast you dont need to fire up your email/gmail app....or calibre

it is handy if you need to send doc/book to your, or any Kindle, without needing to actually email to the aaabbb@kindle.com address, it's a right-click option( Windows).

Most of my book sending would be done on linux/android. I know it's on android aswell but it's just as quick on there to email it.
