The boys beside the fruit and veg shop on the Dublin Rd in Naas are very good; I get my car washed there often.

Proper washes there. Two bucket method, mitts, drying towels, etc!
Supposed to do way more than they should for a basic wash!

Only place I know of that offers such a job, in and out, that's safe for your paintwork.

Have heard only good things about this place, they've added prices to their site now too, couldn't see any prices last time i considered them. Due to the extra effort they seem to go to, do you need to book a wash!? or just rock up like any normal carwash?

Think it very much depends on what Ian has on - I know he does his very best to accommodate everyone who turns up, but sometimes thats no possible due the work load of a detailer.
He has a new premises, which is far bigger, so perhaps he has more help now....but not sure on that!

    Do you like swirl marks?
    Its done with a brush:eek:

Before I got into this detailing lark (more cleaning my car properly than detailing) I used to use them. Now i wouldn't let them near my car.
While they're better than the automatic car washes, in that they actually take of more than 20% of the dirt, it'll destroy your paint work.
Ill probably upset Curran and MM by saying this, but if your paint work is badly swirled and you don't mind swirl marks, then go for it. Its an ok wash.

If you're like us weirdos who shudder at the sight of swirl marks, go to elite, or grab two buckets and a micro fibre wash mit.:)

Nobody upsets me how they wash their car - its THEIR car.....if they want to wash away money (in the value of the car) but destroying the paintwork...then let them!!

But you'd be amazed how much a good wash mitt, drying towel and two bucket method with grit guards would do for a brand new cars paintwork over a 3-4 year period.....it should still be relatively swirl free, and anything there is, would be corrected extremely easily with a one stage machine polish.

One thing that did upset; was in Manchester last year, and there is a serious amount of top of the range motors going about the place...see two Porches in que's for brush washes and a Maserati waiting on an attended wash; the type that would use a water blade to dry the car!! Felt like asking the taxi to stop and walk over and kindly explaining to the owners of what they are doing - they have been better off washing their cars themselves with 50 pound notes!! :P But sure, they probably had new ones planned for the following Jan!
