Hi everyone i have one month left of accutane my cycle so far has been
End of August- mid October 20mg per day
Mid October-Start of December 40mg per day
Start of December- May 11th will be my last day 60mg per day
Please does anyone know how i can ease notably visible scarring once i finish accutane? if the red marks fade after i take accutane? The scars are really getting me down and my confidence is quite low. I have heard that vitamin e oil in capsule form over your face helps scarring, does it?also the pharmacy recommended kelocote for acne scars?which or both should i use? How soon can i do this when i take my last 3 pills on May 11th..honestly feel desperate i cant wait 6 months to a year for laser treatment im sick of being miserable over the marks

I'm pregnant at the moment and am cutting through bottles of Bio-Oil to keep my skin smooth and silky. It prevents stretch marks which I've managed to avoid completely and I know from using it every day it says on the bottle it is also for scars and blemishes and other things.

I just Googled it there for you and apparently is recommended by a group called Acne.org so I would definitely give it a try. I'd also recommend buying it on Amazon as you can buy big bottles of it relatively cheaply there. Hopefully this helps!

    Hi OP,

I realise that this is an upsetting situation for you, but considering that you are on a prescription medication, and asking how it may interact with other treatments, the only person that can really advise you on this is a GP or dermatologist. I suggest talking to the GP that has prescribed this course of treatment for you, and clear any other treatments that you are considering with him or her. Thread closed.

    Regards,
    Mike
