We are heading up on Friday for the weekend with our 8 year old.

We know about the titanic and zoo and city centre.

Anything else we should try when up there?

We were going to try take a trip to the giants causeway but it might be a bit of a trek.

    Cheers

W5 at the Odyssey Arena just before you get to the Titanic is great for kids.

    Absolutely W5 is a must!

Out at Dundonald Icebowl there's Ice skating available along with bowling, the indianaland play area and Clip'n' Climb - fun can be found there!

Causeway is a trek, but well worth it on a good day!

Will give that a try too, thanks.

Yeah, gonna make a call on the causeway when we get there.

Causeway is a bit of a trek alright, but if you leave Belfast early you could see other things around there and get a bit more out of your time on the North Coast - like Barry's in Portrush, Dunluce Castle, and Carrick-a-rede ropebridge. Those three are close together and I loved them all at that age!

Had a great time in Belfast

W5 was great. Titanic experience was brill. We also made it to the Giants Causeway which was well worth the drive, fantastic.

Would highly recommend Belfast for a weekend

sorry only seeing this thread now .. but if anyone is heading up that direction again .. there is a place called Carnfunnock Country Park, its on the Antrim Coast Road, just outside Larne - which also has to be one of the best drives in the country

    http://www.carnfunnock.com/

you could easily speed a full day there .. nice cafe and playground... its a campsite aswell and there is an aMAZEing hedge maze with some beautiful gardens .. definitly one of NIs hidden treasures!
