Is it necessary to have a fully licensed driver with you to take your test? I know it's necessary when driving but I don't know if I ring for a cancelation can I get someone to go with me

You're legally required to be accompanied by a licence driver as a permit holder any time you're on the road..even on the way to the test centre.

As above you are suppose to have a licenced driver at all times which also means when driving to the test centre. They will not be with you during the test.

However the tester does not check to see if you had a licenced driver with you when you drove to the test centre

You need a fully licenced driver to accompany you to the test centre. If you fail they need to accompany you home afterwards. Also if you pass I am not 100% sure that you would be ok if you were stopped unaccompanied while you wait on your full licence to arrive in the mail.

No more than you would normally.

The tester however will not care how you got there or get home from there.
