1916 Commemoration Maynooth - Easter Monday

    For anyone around Maynooth next Monday. I have no personal involvement in organising this but my daughters are carrying the wreaths.

    The Maynooth 1916 Centenary Committee have been working for the past year to organise an annual 1916 commemoration in Maynooth for the 15 men that marched into Dublin where they fought in the rebellion.

    Details for the day are as follows:

    11.50hrs : Parade Starts at St.Patrick's College Gates which includes
    - St. Mary's Brass and Reed Band Maynooth
    - 8th Kildare Scout Troop Maynooth
    - Ex. Defence Forces Organisations
    12.00hrs : Wreath Laying Ceremony Town Square
    - The Proclamation read by Defence Forces Officer
    - Wreath Laying by family member of "Maynooth 15"
    12.22hrs : Ceremony Closes
    12.30 hrs : Irish Military Vehicles display in town square and 1916 memorabilia display in Brady's Clockhouse


    Please note this is a completely NON POLITICAL ceremony.
