    I just got a 1997 Toyota Levin 1.6 non super strut just wondering what's the best type of oil to use

    I'd recommend a 10w40 oil. what i used in my bzr and every other levin owner used that i knew :)

    I used either 10-40 (in winter) and 15-40 (in summer) castrol magnetic in mine. Always meant to get around to using a good quality mineral oil instead but never got around to it!

    You should be aware that a lot of these engines burn a fair bit of oil. It's not really a problem but do check the level every week or 1000kms whichever is first and keep a bottle of oil for top up in the boot :)
