Prompted by a current discussion on the Feedback forum I'm asking the admins to consider removing the gif format - they are data heavy and add almost nothing constructive or helpful to browsing the soccer forum esp as they are so often quoted (multiple times) resulting in dreadful lag for anyone who is on a modest internet…

Yes I could go to edit options and refuse all visual images but that would obviously be overkill (and would need to switched on and off) - still pix are fine and often useful, gifs on the other hand are little more than annoying playthings as used in soccer forum.
