    Hey guys,

Heading interrailing at the start of June to the above places. Spending 3 nights in each stop. Just wondering if there is any must-do things in any of the above places?

    Cheers.

I'd recommend spending a day or two extra in each of the former three places at the expense of the latter three.

Booked as part of a package so doubt I'll be able to change.

Venice. The ghetto tour, St Marks Sq but don't eat in the square. (too dear) The doges palace, you could get a day at thw beach in lido de jesolo . Plenty of islands around Venice. I had 3 days there and saw a fraction of it. Bridge of sighs.

    Bled.

Castle. Visit and have some food there.
Ring the bell on the little church on the island. Get a gondola out or one of the little row boats.
Vintgar Gorge walk to the end and eat in the little shack/restaurant.
    Transalpine Train
Eat some of the cream slice when there, it is famous for them.

    Prague:
    - the historical centre is quite large so there's plenty to see in 3 day imo
    - Old Town Square - the astronomical clock + historical buildings
    - Charles bridge + cross over the Vltava river to the Prague castle
    - Prague castle - if memory serves me well it is one of the largest castle complexes in the world; visit the castle and its gardens, St. Vitus cathedral and the medieval Golden lane in the back of it
    - Petrin hill - you can take a funicular up; it's got landscaped gardens, viewing tower, mirror maze and St. Michael's church; you can walk from Petrin hill to the castle complex
    - I've never taken the river boat but heard that it's quite nice
    - Jewish quarter is very interesting if you are into that kind of things
    - Zizkov TV tower with the giant black babies on it has a nice restaurant and provides great view
    - Wenceslas Square + Namesti Republiky - good for shopping
    - the Museum of Communism, the Sex museum, chocolate factory (near the Old Town Square) + lots of other history and art galleries and museums, depends what you're into
    Beer - U Fleku - restaurant & brewery - also do tours http://en.ufleku.cz/programmes/museum
U Medvidku - brews the strongest beer in the world http://www.umedvidku.cz/
    - Prague is a city of views, there are fabulous views from many places, it's got hundreds of towers and some really breathtaking old architecture; looking at the castle complex from the river side is quite spectacular, it's easy to get around thanks to the metro. You can eat well just be aware of the prices around the Old Town Square, it's a bit of a rip off. Night life is buzzing.

    Vienna:
    - Schönbrunn palace + gardens and zoo
    - Museum of natural history
    - St. Stepen's Cathedral (Stephansdom)
    - Hofburg Imperial Palace
    - Prater with Giant Ferris Wheel - it's a fun park

    - those are just of the top of my head. Vienna is gorgeous and it's got a lots of palaces, museums, galleries etc. If you're into horses you could get tickets for one of the performances in the Spanish riding school, I think they are quite pricey.

I'm planning a trip in a few weeks time and came across this group that does free tours around a few cities, the reviews are very good. You might give them a shot while you're in Berlin and Prague! ;)

I stayed two nights in prague and 3 nights in Berlin . We got the train between both, It was a lovely trip.

I recommend getting the RED hop on hop off buses in both Prague & Berlin. We found these really handy.

If you have time in Berlin you should check out this theater for a show - It was brilliant!!

Also, check out the KaDaWe department store in West Berlin - It is nice to browse through for an hour or two.

Where are you staying in both city's?
