    hi all i had to retire from my job of 38 years.due to acute osteoarthritis.and i am now receiving illess benefit,should i apply for invalidity pension now as my doctor has advised me i am permanetly incalpable of working unfortunately,

    hi i applied for invalidity pension june 2014.after having to retire on medical grounds.refused.then review refused.appealed to dolier st.dublin.got aletter may 25.appeal allowed.and file sent back to longford.does this mean i will get the pension .i understand i have to have 48 contribution paid or credited .in the tax year prior to my claim.has this been checked already.i am so worried about it tks in advance

    Appeal allowed means you get the pension.

    hi just informed i will qualify for fuel allowance payment from 0ct.2015.and pension backdated to july 2014.will fuel allowance be backdated for 0ct .2014.is hbp.means tested.and if successful .is that back dated.tks again
