is a card considered not officially returned if its not recorded in the computer but just posted in the box?

played in rosslare jsc today and just checked the results to see that my r2 is on their masterscoreboard as an NR. i know the card was fine as i double checked it so the only way i can made sense of it is because it wasnt entered in the computer its recorded as an NR... the computer was switched off for the r1 scores so i presumed it also was for r2..

its no big deal, i wasnt in the prizes, but r2 would be in the buffer so id rather not get 0.1 unnecessarily. although i know a guy a couple of groups in front of us had a better score than who theyre recording as the winner and theyve also NRd his 2nd round on masterscoreboard.

ill be giving the club a buzz tomorrow but just wondering if anyone has come across this before?

According to the gui, if a card is correctly returned it is valid. It does not have to be entered in the computer, just returned to the appropriate box. Our club checked tthis issue out with them as we were having problems with guy's who refused to enter scores and we wanted to know where we stood.
You're card should have been entered once it was signed and correct and put into competition box

Where possible enter your score on the computer, after all the guy running the competition is usually an unpaid volunteer so why should he have to enter eveyones card on the computer just because it's not actually a golf rule that you have to.

I appreciate that in this case the computer was off anyway so I am not having a go at you for not entering your score but perhaps a note stating on the card that the pc was off hence you could not enter it would be in order.
