Facebook re friend deleted but sees in chat

a female friend of mine that I broke up with a couple of months ago, deleted me from her friends list

when I go to chat, I see her profile on the list on chat when she is online.

I thought it might just be a random bug thing but it is started happening again the last couple of nights

Does anyone know?

Maybe she didn't actually delete you but just removed you from her feed or something?

Basically I deactivated my account in Jan and we split up in march. When I went to reactivate my account, she was gone from my friends list so I assumed she deleted me

Its more than likely just a FB issue, just got me thinking as she was on my chat bar for the first few weeks after I reactivated then disappeared from it for a while now back on the last few days I go onto chat

Are you using FB on desktop or mobile and do you use the FB messenger app?

It could be because her mobile is in your phone and she is in your messenger list because of that. Also even though you are unfriended it is still possible to message her depending on your individual settings.

im on my laptop, but I also on my phone too. Only see her when on my laptop -havent seen her now since I started this thread last week

Probably a "history" thing as unless she has blocked you, you can still message her.

hi, yes I could still message her or see her profile

it is just when I go on chat, her name will appear on the box on the far right with other names to say who is online

As I say, days can go past and I wont see her name, then some nights her name will be in the chat box. I know she is online all the time-just had me wondering why i only see sometimes and not all the time etc

I think you are right though, will be about security settings or what is saved in her phone etc

Are you still 'following' her without realising it maybe?

Go onto her profile and hit 'Unfollow' in that event.
