    My dress....
    Lady measured me and I am .5 inches (my ass) away from a size 12 so she has ordered a 14!
    It's a princess dress so hips isn't an issue. They said I can change to a 12... What would you do?? I know I can alter but the sample was a 14 and was very big on me..

    Don't pay too much mind to the sizes. Dresses are based on sizings taken in the 50's!!. I'm a 16 and my dress was ordered in a 22 :eek:. The dress had to be taken in twice before it would fit...

    I'm convinced the dress shops deliberately order the dresses bigger in order to make money on the alterations.
