Hey guys, I had to factory reset my Astec fusion alarm as it was causing issues. I re programmed the zones under "Zone Types" but not, when the alarm is armed and a zone is opened the system is not recognising that the zone was opened. No wiring was changed in the panel. Is there a setting I could have forgotten?

I literally went to the zones section, set each zone back to either entry/exit or alarm

    Thanks
    D

Are you sure this is an Astec system you have?
Zone types are not set up like that on Astec.
If its Aritech then by default zone 1 is entry exit & 2-6 are alarm.
If you are using shock sensors on zone 1 - 4 the gross 7 pulse will need to be programmed. By default they will be set at 0-0 which is off.

Yep 100% sure. It's an Astec Fusion.

Here is the steps I have taken. (Pictures in dropbox link below)

    Step 1) Enter Engineer Mode:
    2) Go to "Zone" Menu
    3) Go to "Setup Zones"
    4) Program each zone to it's type.

(The way the original installer had them)

Did I miss something? I think it's setup the way it should be.

Sorry, missed the fusion bit in the first post.:o Was at Keith Barry last night, I think my brain was hacked.:D

Is the zone hardware set up correctly? end of line or Astec System Devices?
Are you checking these devices with full alarm activations or walk test?
There is a setting to turn on bells for walk test?
Also are the internal and external bells set up correctly ? Global or Astec bells?

    Haha, that's a good excuse!

As far as I know, they are end of line, the bells are global. They work fine.

Tested strobe, external and internal. All OK.

What should I put under Zone hardware if they are global devices?

Here's a pic of the shock and a pir, might give you a idea.

    PIR: https://www.dropbox.com/s/52bmg5ho8sgcbil/IMAG0277.jpg?m=

I tried with a walk test and full arm, still no joy on both :(

The PiRs appear to be standard so they would be set according to the end of line resistors used,if any .
If all your window/door sensors are like that the zone hardware need to be set as Astec.
