I have a question relating to Transfers. A Player is looking to start playing for our club this year. He is originally from another county. He has not played any games league or championship in the last 5 years and is no longer connected to the old club as he was moved away for the county.
Given the fact that he has not played in the last five years does he still need to request an inter county transfer in spite of the time gap ? Thanks in advance.

He does, but it's a formality.
The only objection that can be given is if the original club doubts he is living where he claims. And even that must be in within 10 days or is invalid.
But either way, if you move county youre a free man!
