Advice on grass in back garden

    Last April got work done on back garden.

    Killed off all old grass and weeks. Dug out old weeds and got top soil.

    4 weeks ago added weed killer and fertiliser combo.

    Need advice on what to do next.

    Want to get grass in bare patches, thicken up grass and get rid of remainder of weeds. Advice please as I have not a clue what to do and buy next.
