Hi Boards I'm utterly fuming. My laptop kept prompting me to update to windows 8.1. Seemed pretty normal thing to do I'd been connecting to my TV with a HDMI for a bigger screen. Hi Boards

I'm utterly fuming. My laptop kept prompting me to update to windows 8.1. Seemed pretty normal thing to do

I'd been connecting to my TV with a HDMI for a bigger screen.

Since this update the laptop isn't displaying on my TV (audio nor visual) and to rub salt in the wounds general laptop performance seems to have deteriorated.

Has anyone any advice on either projecting to the TV with 8.1 or uninstalling this update?]

Its a Lenovo G505 laptop with 64bit windows, already reinstalled the graphics card driver.

Try holding the Windows key and pressing P. Should be able to scroll through the screen options there.
