Hi just wondering if someone could let me know what this tube is on my car, its a 99 4efe corolla. The tube is broken I've since wrapped it in some black tape to seal for the time being. Hopefully someone can tell me what it is/does. Thanks

It's a vacuum pipe for your power steering, it basically increases your power steering pressure at idle so it's easier to park your car ;)you should replace the pipe or repair it

Thanks I wrapped it with some black tape for the time being. I haven't noticed any difference when trying to park so its probably been this way for a while. At least its not too serious. Where would I get those pipes anyway? Motor factors?
