Hi just wondering if anyone could put me in touch with someone in the Portmarnock / Malahide area that does welding on alloys, have cracks in both back alloys on a car I bought need to get them sorted this week.

If you're willing to go as far as Swords there's a place called Trimtech in Airside. My daughter had work done by them and was very pleased.

You could also try Moto Engineering http://www.motoengineering.com/ He has done some work for me before and is a top rate welder and knows his stuff. Although it can be done I don't think I would risk having the wheel welded if it was to be done 100% part of the wheel would have to be sent away to get analysed and then have welding rods made up of the same compound costing a fair few quid. It's fair enough if you are using the car for yourself but if you are carrying passengers or you sold the car on and the wheel failed it could be a hard thing to live with. Just my two cents worth:)

Not used these but always see them get a good mention on motoring forums.

Sorry to write on an old post but I have a wheel which has been previously welded and has cracked in what looks like the same place can it be fixed?

I'm not sure posters in this forum would know, you should ask in the DIY Car Maintenance and Repair forum because someone in there is bound to be able to advise you:
