Is 2 yrs 9 months very young for a child to enter the preschool class? They want me to hold him off for 3 months until he is three but I just see he is losing valuable time. Any views?

Where i live, children can not start in the ASD preschool classes until they are 3yrs old. Before this they can avail of the home tuition scheme.

Yep and that's fine if you can find a tutor.

Talk to your child's EI team to see if they have any recommendations for a tutor. Also speak to the school that ave the class...they may know of suitable people. I've also seen people post on rollercoster.ie looking for tutors with successful results.
