Hi there, not exactly sure which subsection to enter this post so apologies if its out of place here.

We are planning on getting a good bit of work done to our house this summer: new en-suite, knocking down wall between kitchen dining room & some hard landscaping in the garden. I'm hankering for a new kitchen. I had a brief chat with a kitchen company and its would be alot less than i ever thought. Seeing as we are getting the kitchen wall taken down, the guy i spoke to said it would be ideal to get the new kitchen as things like electrics/plumbing could be all done when the builder is in doing the rest of the work.

I suppose im just conscious of costs spiraling out of control. I've a very budget aware husband who has point blank refused a new kitchen!!

We could easily live with the current kitchen for another few years but the work involved then would be alot of hassle. In my mind it would make better sense to get it done now. We arent going to be living in the house until july this year so have time to get the work done.

Opinions would be appreciated. My husband says this is my baby but im very aware of who holds the purse strings in our house and unfortunately it aint me!!!
