If you suffer from a severe speech impediment and can prove it by a qualified speech therapist, what happens with the Irish oral.
How do they take it into account in terms of overall marks awarded?

    Hi there,

My advice would be to get in touch with the teacher in your school who deals with this area. They can then get in touch with you and contact the visiting teacher who can give you some advice.

If you look up reasonable accommodations, you can find further details. Your case most likely will need to be checked by someone in the HSE. There are various supports available if you qualify such as a modified oral exam carried out by someone who has experience in this area. Depending on your circumstances, you may also be entitled to an exemption from the oral.

Have a chat with that teacher, they usually will be over resource etc or ask the principal if you're unsure.
