FAS funding for courses not at fas centres

Social welfare were going to force me into doing a course. Long story short, its a basic mickey mouse computer course. Its on the same level as the juniour cert, a FETAC level 3 qualification. For 11 months. I have a FETAC level 6 already. The course included subjects as library researching skills, internet skills, word processing, communications.

As anyone who completed a FETAC level 5 course, you already have word processing and communications.

To do that course, you're going backwards.

Anyway I found a course i'd like to do and there's fas funding/grant available. I filled out the forms 3 weeks ago and im still waiting to hear back if I could do it or not.

Its my worst nightmare, if this isn't granted cause the last thing I want is to be called back and forced into the course they want me to do.

How long does fas funding take to come through ?
