Need to arrange a pickup on the way to Dublin this evening and won't have time to deal with friday rush hour city traffic.

Is the Maldron Hotel the best option for coming off and getting back onto the motorway?
Google Maps seems to suggest that it is, but we've missed that exit a few times when driving at night, so just looking for some reassurance or better advice.
Any roadworks or anything that might scupper our plans?

Try Finnegans Bar on the Dublin road. Exit at exit 28 for Castletroy and it's about 200m in the direction of Limerick. Very easy to get back on to the motorway.

Hi, what direction are you coming from?

If from the Shannon/tunnel way you can get off no problem.
You cannot get off coming from the Cork direction.

Getting back on the motorway is no problem.

Thanks, but recent experience of going out the Dublin Road suggests that it will be bumper to bumper coming up to the big roundabout.
It might be easy to get off the motorway, but getting back out from Finnegan's might be very difficult, especially if we're under pressure.

Yes, will be coming from that direction.
My only concern is that over the winter while driving at night we've missed this exit a couple of times when coming in from west Limerick.
The daylight might help us with reading the signs though! :D

There is no exit to the Maldron coming from west Limerick ( as in coming in from Adare ) , but if you are coming through the tunnel then you can't miss it .

If you are coming in from Adare you can head for the tunnel and go around the roundabouts and back up , this is what I do .

Will be coming from the tunnel this time. Was just concerned after those experiences over the winter. I find it difficult to visualise the layout of these new roads and how they fit together!

Well when you come out of the tunnel the first exit takes you to the Dock road roundabouts , the 2nd exit takes you to the Maldron . It has two lanes , just keep left as the right hand lane takes you to Cork .
