Is the engine oil capacity 3.8l? Want to change oil and filter myself but don't know if I need a 4l or 5l pack?
10 40 synthetic also is reccomended?

3.8 litres, yes. And a good full-synth 10W-40 won't do it any harm.

Thanks. I thought that 3.8l sounded too little.

Lads on here with that engine recomend getting the oil from a ford/peugeot main dealer and changing it every 8k miles or so. 30 euro for 5 litres is good value too.

    10w40 is normally part-synthetic. I'd use a 5w30 C2 fully synth in one anyway.

Aye, but full-synth blends are around - the infamouslegendary Castrol Magnatec, for example!

I always use 5w 30 fully syn low saps/low ash C2 oil in these engines....mobil or total usually.

Yes 5w 30 fully syn has been used before. I am now living in poland, hotter summers and colder winters so wondering if 10w 40 may be a better choice?

You could use 5w30 during the winter and 5w40 during the summer depending on what temps your talking about....I like to stick with the 5w30 and use the same brand which is either Mobil 1 esp or Total Quartz Ineo ecs..:)

on that model we would use mobil esp 5w-30 plus it keeps the engine cleaner and smoother running.
