My mother needs to sell her 4 bed in Abbey Farm for something smaller
shes only interested in the Leixlip/Celbrige area.
She needs something with at least 1 bed and bathroom/en-suite on the ground floor due to mobility issues.

Im finding it very hard to find anything in the area, she would only have what she gets for the current house [est 3-350K]

In the Celbridge area plan 2010 there was 4 laregish areas zoned for housing
1 beside the salesian college,1 across from ballyoulster and 2 on the Newtown rd 1 between Simmonstown and Temple Manor and 1 a bit further up on the right
Dose anyone know if there is any chance these will be developed anythime in the next 5 years ?

Or is there any plans for anything in Leixlip ?

Why dont you consider buying a ground floor apartment like in Simmonstown Manor or Oldtown Mill?

Bungalows are pretty much unheard of in new developments - however its not unknown for some of the (significantly larger and hence dearer, usually) houses to have full bathrooms downstairs as an option for this type of purpose; usually you end up losing the dining room to a bedroom then. You'd need to talk to the developer directly probably.
