Am I entitled to BTEA/Grant

Hey guys,

Just a quick one. I have a FETAC Level 5 in IT and a BTEC Level 5 in Interactive Media.

I want to go on to do a FETAC Advanced Certificate in Photography (6M3732) Level 6. I know it's higher than my current FETAC, but I don't know how it compares to the BTEC. I know to get either a grant or BTEA you have to be moving up in education, so I'm hoping the Level 6 is counted as higher than the BTEC or else I will be unable to go back to college and will be looking at another year on the dole.

Looks like the FETAC Level 6 is equal to the BTEC HND (Level 5).

Don't know if you'd qualify when it's to the same level but worth a shot I'd say.

Any idea if VTOS falls under the same regulations as BTEA/Grants? As in, do you need to be moving up a level to qualify for it?
