I only want to pair the RC with the Tuner, on the unit, not the cd/tuner/tape

I've been using Audio option on RC to do this, with the Tuner on the unit on and while it marks some codes as SUCCESS.... they don't work.

As I going about this the right way

If pairing with a cd or tape etc it says to put a tape or cd in the unit, but no info about a Tuner.
