Danjo & OH go to the same practice (multi practice) but have different doctors.

When reviewing my card they also reviewed OH's card which was valid until August next.

Both issued with new 3yr cards but the problem is they put my doctors name on both cards.

I've emailed them about this but no reply.

Will they issue a new card with the correct details in due course! or whats likely to happen if anything.

Is your doc the head of the practice so to speak.

This happened to me, when they reissued me a card with my partner's doctor's name on my card..i actually had to go to my doctors to sign a Change of Doctor form (to change from my doctor to my doctor!).

Edit- my doctor was in a different surgery. Usually the doctor's name is the head of practice.

For myself, the doctor listed on my medical card is the senior doctor over the whole practice. I have never met this doctor but I do attend another doctor in the practice.

When the form was signed for by the doctor, did each individual doctor sign it or did you hand the form into a receptionist.

Good question, will find out... but if he is, each doctor has their own 'panel number' with hse, so can't see how one doctor name on card for everyone would work, unless at attendance in practice they tick a box on form to identify what doctor I actually saw.

We both joined at different times with years in between.

Your medical card covers you with the practice, not the GP.
You are covered to see any GP at that practice including any locums or nurses.
Your GMS is attached to the practice , be it one GP or ten.
