    Hi,

I'm wondering if i can lower the temperature of the water when i use the immersion.
The water is absolutely boiling after 30mins on the immersion and i need to mix in cold water from the taps when having a shower...

I think if i lower the temperature then i'll lower the cost, right?

Where the boiler is there is two dials that can be turned manually..they are attached to the copper pipes...this it the only adjustable thing in the tank as far as i can see...

    any advice is greatly appreciated...

Are you talking about an immersion element in the tank or a boiler heating the water ?

You seem top be talking about a hot water cylinder that has an immersion fitted. The "dials" are just valves that should normally be in the fully open position - that's anti-clockwise. You should normally have the water heated so hot that you will need to mix cold water when having a shower. Otherwise you will run out of hot water very quickly when having a shower or bath.
    Jim.
