Washing machine recirculation pump noise

Hi all, I have a 7 year old zanussi zwk1231w fron load washing machine.
Recently the recirculation pump has started to make a low rumbling noise.
During a wash the recirculation pump is vibrating like crazy
Machine has 1 Pump for Drainage and another pump for recirculation
Both pumps are connected together via a small black tube..
I replaced the recirculation pump but the noise remains. :(
I checked both pumps for blockages but all clear.
I followed the hose from recirculation pump up to the top of the drum where it looks like its supposed to spray water into the drum from above. This is known as a recirculation hose.
I noticed brown residue coating the inside of the hose ( see attached pic).
At no point do I see water enter this hose.At no point does water enter drum from above (recirculation)
So to me it looks like recirculation pump is trying to suck water from the drainage pump but
Now I'm wondering if this black hose is blocked.
If I do a test wash I never see any spray enter the drum from above.
Attached is a pic of the recirculation hose with brown residue..
Attached is a pic of both pumps

    A is Drainage pump
    B is recirculation pump
    C is recirculation Hose
    D is recirculation connection hose

    Any help please

if you have heard a rough rumbling noise coming from the machine the pump is worn and needs , easy enough diy job, but drain all water and disconnect before starting, more than likely the impellar has broken off the pump after all that pumping, two companys in Tullamore do washer spare parts.
