Suggestions for Activities in Athlone ?

    Hi

    Staying in Athlone with a small group of lads (Total of 5) - Is there any go karting, paintball etc activities near or in the town - Just something for a few hours before we hit the pubs?

    There is a go-karting centre on the Granard road in Edgeworthstown. It is in co Longford but about a 20 min drive from Athlone. They also have a woodland for paintballing.

    google pallas karting, its a bit out towards galway but its a great track, think they have paintball and zorb there too

    Was it my imagination or is/was there an indoor kart track in that estate opposite the old train station?
    Anyway there is bowling down there.

    This too shall pass.

    thanks for all the suggestions but tried to get accomodation for the weekend of 24th may but couldn't get a thing!!! what's on that weekend?
