Rumours of this on letsrun that seems to be gaining a bit of traction so could well be true

For anyone who doesn't know these guys their back story is pretty interesting. (background below)

Personally I think this could be a good move as they definitely have major talent and it will be good to see them get more exposure with the juggernaut backing from Nike.

Hopefully they don't end up like so many training rabbits who have stalled their careers for the sake of being simply training tools for Farah and Rupp.

Yeah I've read about these guys before and they seem pretty cool…. My issue would be if your PB's by 20 are only 13:30 and 3:45 and you've spent the last few years training like a madman w/ Kenyans at altitude I'm not so sure I'd say that you have "major talent"

I'd also encourage anyone who is sane/ has any ethics to stay away from Salazar and the NOP….but thats just me.

3.36/13.13 ad 13.15/27.45 guys at 23 is definitely talent. Even if they are running in Kenya I still reckon that there is room for improvement.

For me though it was more the fact that under Nike they would get more exposure as they have definitely flown under the radar with alot of people and I think their story would make for great source material for sponsorship so it does make sense.

I think these sort of stories create the sort of media appeal to transcend the sport somewhat to make them marketable.
