So it's coming into the summer and I'm going to buy myself a new present. I've a pain in my head sifting through adverts so I'm looking here.

Looking for a retro looking bike around the 60cm mark.

Something Columbus/Tange/Reynolds or other quality frameset.
Something in road ready condition; ready to go.
    Something that's been looked after.

The more interesting the better; an oddball make with a bit of history would be cool. :)

Price? Negotiable but obviously less if it's not in a ready to go condition.

    How about something like this?

Columbus 70's frame, 90's Campag groupset mix (record crank, mirage BB, early 8 speed shifters). Also have a carbon fork that I use which looks cool.

Now we're talking. Any more pics? Asking price?

    Looks pricey though!

Price is interesting as it depends on the spec you would like as I have a few options based on wheels etc but I could do a decent deal on some thing like this:

Frame, Steel forks, 8 speed campy Groupset, Campy aero seat post, RS10 Wheelset (shimano hub with shiftmate), Miche long drop brakes.

Oh just read that you want a 60, mine is a 21inch

21 is a bit small. Shame, cracking looking bike otherwise.

Might have a friend interested. What sort of price range are we talking about?

around 350, I have brand new GP4000s tyres on the RS10's as well. 450 I would include nice carbon fork and campy record headset.

Might get divorced for this but how much for the Frame.........

That's a good price. I'd buy it only that its too small. Stick it up on a thread and you'll sell that no problems

For full disclosure the frame is a Columbus but NOT colnago, its a good fake and well made with nice lugs.

I dont really want to sell but its a little racy for me and I get a hand pain when I ride.

Frame is in its original paint, has had the modern wheelset conversion and the brake housings have been drilled to accept modern brakes (from 80's)

Frame on its own would be 100

I have a bike in spain you might be interested in, but it won't be in ireland until July. Restored to its original condition BH, with everything original except for the back wheel.

Hahaha , I love riding fixies so removed them. :D I may have them somewhere! I added the new brake for a little bit of safety in towns and cities.

The problem with selling a bike you build yourself is that you never get anything close to what it cost you to build. It rarely makes sense to sell them unless you really need the money.

Very true! I have two bikes over there and don't use them enough to justify having them
